German Language in Business

About the study
The postgraduate studies “German Language in Business” are online studies with elements of full-time studies, which prepare students to use German in a business context, both in written form (in business correspondence) and orally (in networking, negotiations, public speaking). Students will acquire business knowledge (in the areas of marketing, logistics, finance and accounting, business intercultural communication, law in business) as well as knowledge of business culture in Germany.

Students will be introduced to business German through seminar classes consisting of two parts: theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, the most important words and phrases within the business area will be presented, while in the practical part the acquired knowledge will be used in conversations on various business areas (in conversations in the form of case studies). Seminar classes will be conducted online via Zoom, where it is possible to divide postgraduate students into workshop groups, which will enable the practical application of acquired knowledge (while communicating with the lecturer or with other postgraduate students). During the postgraduate studies, it is planned to organise 1 inaugural meeting and 1 meeting at the end of studies (with catering), which will also serve as networking classes in German. Online and stationary classes are scheduled for Friday evening (6 – 8:30 p.m.) or Saturday (9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.).
